Covid-19

For the foreseeable future our front door will remain closed. This is to ensure only patients with booked appointments who have had pre-screened health questions asked and answered at the time of booking and again as they enter our building, can enter. By doing this, we endeavour to continue to keep you as safe as possible, as well as our staff.

All Infection Control and Health and Safety measures are followed in the practice. This includes the wearing of Masks while in the medical centre.

Unvaccinated patients (or their support) who require a face to face consultation, will be seen in a separate room which requires additional resources and there will be an additional minimal charge associated with this. Please refer to our Mission Statement on our website for further information, or ask one of our team.
Telehealth Consultations are available for all patients.

Health and Wellbeing

A message from our Health Improvement Practitioner….

Hi there, my name is Willem and I am a registered Health Improvement Practitioner here at Westend Medical. My job is to help out when stress and problems in living start to affect your health negatively. At times things may be out of balance and we can find ways, together, to get things back in balance so that things work well again and you will have gained more resilience.

A Health Improvement Practitioner is a university trained clinician who sees people experiencing any behavioural issues regardless of age.

I am a regular member of the Westend Medical team and ready to support in a variety of ways. I will teach you behavioural interventions or new pathways to help improve the situation that is affecting your health.

The sessions are normally about 30 minutes long and can be a one off or alternatively a few ongoing sessions. All consultations are Free

Please talk to your doctor or nurse about my services or alternatively ask one of the reception team to talk to me directly.

Staff Update

We have a new Registrar starting at the beginning of February, Mikie Molloy. Mikie will be with us for 6 months.

This will mean that our current Registrar, Ralston D’Souza is leaving us at the end of January, I know a lot of our patients will miss Ralston, he has been a great addition to our team in the short time he has been with us and we will all miss him. Hopefully one day he may be back!!

Practice Survey

Thank you to all our patients who were able to participate in our annual in-practice Patient Survey held last October.

Our staff continue to work hard to deliver high-quality health and wellbeing services to our valued patients. We welcome the opportunity to continue to improve our services through your feedback.
