COVID - Update

As Omicron continues to spread rapidly throughout our community and with flu and winter ailments just around the corner, we will be continuing with Doctor Telehealth appointments in the first instance. This is being reviewed on a regular basis.

Health & Safety - Infection Control:
It is essential that when you do come into the practice for a face to face consultation, that you have no cold or flu symptoms.

We require everyone to wear a mask for the duration of their time in the practice.

COVID Vaccination Hub:
This has moved to: (the former hunting & fishing shop) at Trade Central, Amohau St, Rotorua.

Preparing for COVID at home
Remember – to pre-prepare to isolate at home and stay safe. It is up to each of us to be prepared as much as we can and ask friends, neighbours and whanau to support us and likewise we should arrange to support them if necessary.

Below is a very informative link to preparing to self-isolate and all you need to know (along with other information)

COVID Symptoms
If you have cold or flu symptoms consistent with COVID, you will need to do a RAT test.

These are currently available at the Copthorne Hotel, access via Ward Ave, some pharmacies (including Pharmacy West End) and some supermarkets.

Testing Positive
If you test positive, isolate at home and report your result online on your My COVID Record (MOH) This also links you to other useful information.

If you are unable or do not have access to online services, you can call 0800222478 to record your test result

It is important to report (record) your results so that we (your general practice team) can look after you during your isolation at home, (especially if you are unwell with COVID). If you have worsening symptoms or a query please call us, we are here to help.

If you have any difficulty breathing at any time, or you need urgent medical attention, call 111 immediately.

You can contact Health line 0800 358 5453 at any time for general information.

Consultations and Payments

Please, do not worry if you have not been able to pay your invoice online. You will be able to pay your invoice in person once we open up the practice to all foot traffic again.

Our intention when not taking payment over the counter is not to inconvenience anyone, but to keep you and our staff as safe as possible by minimising the exposure time for everyone at reception and in the waiting room area.

Public Holidays - Easter Break/Anzac
We will be closed:
Good Friday 15 April and Easter Monday 18 April and Anzac Day, Monday 25 April

Please remember to get your repeat prescription in early. All requests need to go through our telephone prescription line # 1 and usually takes 48hours.

Please advise which pharmacy you would like us to email your script to.

Flu Season

Our first flu vaccination clinic date is Wednesday 6 April for patients who are eligible for a FREE vaccine.

We are waiting on a confirmation date when unfunded vaccines will be available.

For booking details and further information, please contact our reception team.
