Practice Quality Improvement

Our practice is a pro-equity practice. We strive to understand and address bias, work in a culturally safe manner and create an inclusive and culturally safe experience for all our patients, whanau and families and the communities we serve.

Equity recognises that different people with different levels of advantage require different approaches and resources to get equitable health outcomes.

We constantly strive for quality improvement throughout the practice and always welcome feedback from our patients.

One of the many quality initiatives we do in the practice is hold an annual Patient Survey which captures all aspects of the patient experience after they have a consultation with one of our clinical team.

This year our survey will be held during the week 18-22 October
(Covid levels permitting).
If you have an appointment sometime during this week, please take the time to complete one of our survey forms after your visit while still in the practice.

We continue to have survey forms in hard copy so that all patients have the opportunity to have their say (Equity - not just those that have access to electronic communication).


Please continue to wear a mask when you enter the medical practice, hand sanitize as you enter, scan using the NZ covid tracer app/poster which is up on our wall or use our manual entry form.

Do not come into the practice if you are unwell with any of covid symptoms, this includes, cold and flu symptoms, crossed any closed borders or been in contact with anyone in isolation, at any covid level.

Call reception and they will advise what to do. Remember it is mandatory to wear a mask into the practice at all times.

The Covid-19 testing station is open – call us if you are unsure of the opening hours.

If you are unwell with a cold or flu go and get tested first – please, do not come into the practice.

Staff Updates

Health Improvement Practitioner:
We are pleased to advise we will have a Health Improvement Practitioner joining our team in early November. Willem Van Rouveroy, will be available to see patients for both mental health and physical health behavioural concerns. Please ask your doctor or nurse for further information.

Christmas/New Year Opening Hours

Christmas is not that far away now (the year fly’s by quicker and quicker each year!)
During the Christmas/New Year period we will be closed on the following public holidays

  • Christmas Day – Saturday 25 December
  • Boxing Day (observed) Monday 27 December and Tuesday 28 December
  • New Year’s Day – Saturday 1 January 2022
  • Day after New Year’s Day (observed) Monday 3 January
  • And Tuesday 4 January

Repeat Prescriptions – Remember to get your repeat prescriptions in early for the Christmas/New Year break – don’t leave the rush to the last minute.

Remember - If you are needing a medication review appointment with your doctor, it is a good idea to bring all your current medications that you are taking to this appointment (in a bag). This will enable you and your doctor to review each item together.
