Westend Medical is a Cornerstone Accredited Practice
Westend Medical is a Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners (RNZCGP) Foundation and Cornerstone accredited practice. This represents a nationally consistent benchmark by which a practice can measure its current quality of care and progress towards health equality outcomes.
Westend Medical is a Teaching Practice
Westend Medical works in partnership with the RNZCGP to train and educate GP Registrars each year within the practice. The Registrar works under supervision in a team-based environment within the practice.
Westend Medical is an accredited Teaching Practice for the University of Auckland, Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences, for the education and training of medical students in community settings. Your participation in our training and education programmes is highly appreciated and helps train our future doctors.
Important update from Stuart and Liz Williams, owners of Westend Medical
It is with a mixture of sadness and happiness that Stuart and Liz have made the difficult, but necessary, decision to ease back as they head towards retirement. They have consequently decided to sell Westend Medical practice and have found a local medical group who they feel will best take over the ‘We Care’ mantle, providing our patients with the ongoing good care that you all deserve at your medical ‘home’.

Introducing Korowai Aroha
Many of you will have spent the last weekend in shock with the news that Stuart and Liz have sold Westend Medical. As the new owners, Korowai Aroha, we wish them well and sincerely hope they enjoy their holiday in Europe. We look forward to welcoming them both back in August – rested and full of enthusiasm and part of the Korowai Aroha/Westend team.
